PELVIC FLOOR REHABILITATION
PELVIC FLOOR REHABILITATION
Pelvic floor dysfunction encompasses a wide range of issues that can include pelvic pain, abdominal pain, buttock pain, urinary dysfunction, fecal dysfunction, and/or sexual dysfunction. Symptoms can range from pain that occurs with specific activities to pain that occurs all day; and can sometimes include incontinence, or it's opposite, retention. These issues can arise at any time in the lifespan and affect both men and women; unfortunately no one is immune. Accurate assessment of the core issue affecting the pelvic floor is key to determining the appropriate treatment plan, improving the pelvic floor muscle's function and health, and therefore your quality of life.
Optimal PT is proud to offer the unique service of pelvic floor physical therapy. Aletta has specialized in this avenue of care and provided it in the Amarillo area since 2003.

Normal changes that allow for a healthy pregnancy can set the stage for muscle and joint issues, which in some cases can become extremely limiting and affect quality of life. Fortunately, many of these changes can be improved with physical therapy, with therapy providing tools for a lifetime of good musculoskeletal health.
Please talk to your OB/Gyn if you are experiencing any of the following during your pregnancy:
